Osheaga takes place over three weekends in August at the Parc Jean-Drapeau with a variety of zones, each with a performance area associated with a separate sponsor.

The performance time of the artists here varies somewhat based on popularity, with new artists performing for about 30 minutes and big-name artists performing longer from 60 to 90 minutes. Therefore, this is an opportunity for young artists to showcase their talents and perform alongside other famous artists. The attraction and attention of both people and visitors to Osheaga is increasing, by 2006, this officially became the most important outdoor music festival in Canada.

During the three-day Osheaga festival, more than 100 bands from all over the world attend and perform here.
