Bach Dang Wharf in District 1 is conveniently connected to famous destinations like Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Ben Thanh Market, and Bitexco Tower. The name “Bach Dang” recalls the historic Bach Dang River, where Vietnamese forces defeated invaders in legendary battles.
Historically, this area was known as Ben Ngu, a dock used by royalty. During the 19th century, it housed Gia Tan station and Ba Son Shipyard.
