Monsignor Tran Quoc Nghien is known as the eldest son of the most talented general in Vietnamese history, Tran Hung Dao (Tran Quoc Tuan). Tran Quoc Nghien and his father Tran Quoc Tuan made many resounding victories to defeat the Mongols, especially the battle on the Bach Dang River in 1288, with his merits clearly recorded. Coming to the temple, visitors will feel like they are immersed in nature with a quiet, spacious space that makes the soul of visitors here become relaxed and comfortable. According to the stele in the temple area, the temple dates back to 1913 and was erected by boat owners passing through here to commemorate his merits. Later in 2002, the temple was rebuilt as it is now. The main hall is to worship the Tran community, behind the harem is to worship Tran Quoc Nghien. In the temple grounds, there is an ancient well, the strange thing is that this ancient well is only more than 10 meters from the sea, but the water in the well is always sweet without being salty. daily.

The Duc Ong Temple Festival was restored in 2008, every year at the end of the third lunar month, people in the province are eager to attend the festival and has become an extremely interesting cultural feature. Along with Long Tien Pagoda, Duc Ong Temple are two places on New Year's Eve, on the first day of the New Year, people in the city come to the temple to burn incense.
