Ha Long

Ha Long Bay is located in the Gulf of Tonkin, in Quang Ninh province, to the northeast of Vietnam, 165km from the capital Hanoi. Covering an area of 43,400 hectares including more than 1600 large and small islands, most of which are uninhabited and unaffected by humans, forming a spectacular natural wonder with limestone columns and an ideal model. The idea of a mature Karst landscape developed in a warm, humid tropical climate. This special area was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1994.
