icon-location541 Nijojocho, Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto, Japan
Nijo Kyoto Castle is considered the best example of Japanese feudal architecture

Nijo Castle was built in 1603. The total area of Nijo Castle is 275,000 square meters, of which 8,000 square meters are reserved for residences. The rooms of the palace are elegantly decorated, the doors are beautifully smooth painted

Visitors coming here will better understand the long-standing culture of Japanese people because each door to the roof, pillars are carved with sophisticated and meticulous patterns. These details seem to exude the private, safe and a bit "picky" living space of the people of the ancient country of cherry blossoms.

Various kinds of cherry blossoms are planted throughout the castle with nearly 400 trees in the garden. Therefore, visitors cannot miss the opportunity to admire the cherry blossoms at Nijo Kyoto Castle from late March to April.
