Quy Nhon Cathedral (also known as Pointed Church) was rebuilt by Bishop Tardieu in 1938 with a larger scale and area to serve parishioners. Although it has gone through many historical periods of the country, fortunately until now, the Church still exists intact and develops. With its unique architecture, it is now also a new attraction for those who want to learn about history and architecture.
The church has a fairly large area with a capacity of less than 1,500 people, built in a very special structure, with a cross-shaped layout with a length of 57.5 m, a width of 22.6 m. A special feature is the 47.2 m high bell tower that looks straight up to the blue sky - so the locals here call it "Spiky Church".
In 1962, the church of St. Pancratius in Chicago donated a large bell weighing 1,800 kg. In addition, the four sides of the tower are fitted with four clocks, each time the hour will play the hymn Ave Ave Ave Maria.
The space inside the cathedral is quite spacious, with the design of high arched ceilings and many colorful windows creating an elegant beauty for the cathedral.
Today, Nhan church is not only a destination for Catholics, but also gradually becoming a tourist attraction attracting many domestic and foreign tourists, especially on major holidays such as Christmas and New Year's Eve. Easter or Happy New Year.
