13 Celsius is housed in a Mediterranean-style building from the 1920s in a vintage building in Houston, Texas. The building was originally built as Jenning's Cleaners and Dyeing Shoppe and decommissioned in 2004. Rather than raze the old structure and build a new one, the owners of 13 Celsius chose to exploit its hidden beauty. of its original character by preserving key elements of the space such as a pressed tin ceiling and an outdoor patio. They built a 12 meter long bar out of antique white Carrera marble and furnished the space with furniture taken from a historic Houston site - the Warwick Hotel. All create a classic industrial space that brings a cool and relaxed feeling to diners.
With the goal of providing Houston with the best wine possible, 13 Celsius keeps their wines in a temperature-controlled cellar and ensures their bottles remain intact, unmoved and unaltered by any means. before serving. There is also a list of more than 30 bottled beers from local producers.
Besides the rich glasses of wine, at 13 Celsius diners can order a number of side dishes such as fresh cheese, impressive Paninis and satisfy their sweet taste with hand-cut truffles.
The professional bartenders at 13 Celsius are ready to recommend wines to suit your taste, such as a glass of dry white Basque Txacolí (a slightly bubbly, very dry, high acidity white wine. high and low alcohol content produced in Spain). Sipping sangria or bellinis (cocktails made with Prosecco wine and peaches or nectar) in the bar's garden courtyard on cool afternoons is also a memorable experience for visitors.
