Loi Am Pagoda

Loi Am Pagoda is a beautiful temple in Dai Yen ward, Ha Long city, located 17km from Sun World Ha Long Complex, it will take 25 minutes by car. The time when many tourists choose to come here is the first lunar month, because this is the time when most ceremonies and festivals are held at the beginning of the year. The time when the number of visitors to the temple is the most.

Coming to the temple, you will have to take a boat to cross Yen Lap Lake, from the wharf you will go on a small concrete road running along the mountainside, squeezing through the hills. The road will wind through pine forests, hills with thousands of pineapples planted here. You will admire the majestic mountain scenery, many natural beauties along the two sides of the road will delight you. If you go in spring you will see thin mists all around, making you feel like in a fairyland. Walking time to the temple is about 1 hour, the road is slightly sloping, near the temple you will pass a small section walking on large rocks. Note when walking you need to bring drinking water, because there are no shops along the way.

In 1997, the pagoda was certified as a national historical relic by the Ministry of Culture. Over time the old temple was degraded, then built to be replaced by a new temple. The new temple was built thanks to the contributions of Buddhists who came to the temple ceremony. Because the temple is at a high altitude, it is difficult to transport materials, so each person often helps the temple with a pair of red bricks or a small bag of sand to make merit for the temple. The small but majestic new temple is located on the top of a high mountain surrounded by forests, making visitors feel at peace when coming here. Behind the pagoda, there is a stream of justice, a fairy well and especially Hang Cau, whose main roof is a giant stone protruding, it is a miracle of nature bestowed on this place. If you come to Quang Ninh to travel, you should not miss Loi Am Pagoda, where you not only offer incense, pray for happiness and peace, but also admire the natural beauty of the mountains.
