Phuket Bird Park makes the first impression with you by the large entrance gate, behind a verdant forest that promises many interesting things. The garden is quite large with beautiful design, there are many species of birds living here, mainly in captivity. Their homes are cages of various sizes dotted along the steep winding road leading to the main house.
Exploring Phuket Bird Park, you will encounter exotic birds such as African crowned cranes, hornbills, Nicobar pigeons, ostriches and emus. The turkey is one of the few species that is allowed to roam free in the park, while other species such as the Siamese pheasant and the red-billed magpie are kept in thatched-roofed cages. Phuket Bird Park hosts live bird shows at a stage in the main building daily at 10:30, 13:30 and 15:30. The main building is built in Sino-Portuguese style, a very popular style in Phuket. The program starts with epic and dramatic music, MC will introduce each bird by its nickname. The birds performed amazing tricks for which they were trained. Eagles, owls, and hornbills swam across the stage to grab an object placed on the trainer's hand or head.
The parrots are the comedians of the show, they can ride bicycles, collect empty beer cans to carry in the crate, do some math work, and occasionally play dead. After the show ends, you can move into a cafe or souvenir shop for refreshments and shopping.
