Volkshaus Bar, Cafe & Restaurant

Open since 1910, the bar at the Volkshaus gives guests a 90s feel of elegant classics with its gorgeous crystal chandeliers, dark wood bar and stone countertops. granite, porcelain and dark wood floors, wooden tables and chairs, and round leather chairs line the bar.

Connected to the Volkshaus restaurant, the Volkshaus bar also uses only fresh ingredients from the morning local markets and from the surrounding area. The spacious bar is the place to be any time of day. Here, women after a day of going to the market often come here to sip a cup of coffee with milk, and the night owls drink black coffee, the neighborhood guys often come here to drink beer and chat and the stars in the world. People drink herbal tea before the show.

The Volkshaus restaurant is warmed with love and passion for food. Using only carefully selected seasonal ingredients, sourced from and trusted manufacturers, the restaurant's dishes are inspired by traditional dishes from traditional recipes from mom and grandma. Mashed potatoes taste like potatoes and pikeperch sauce, or minced meat dishes, all bring the warmth and taste of childhood dishes, always satisfying diners.

Open Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to midnight and until 1 a.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with a cafe atmosphere, beautiful curved bar and bistro tables Inviting, the Volkshaus bar has always been a lively meeting point in the middle of Zürich's Kreis 4.
