“Traditional Swiss handicrafts of the highest quality, great functionality and design”

The Schweizer Heimatwerk (Swiss Crafts Association) was founded in 1930 by the Swiss farmer association. The idea was inherent to provide a place of sale for mountain farmers, who used their long winter break at home to craft traditional utensils and toys. This is an opportunity for them to earn a little extra income. As a result, farmers receive courses and training for a number of jobs around the house, such as manufacturing shingles and laying roofs, setting up a loom, and much more. In November 1931, the Schweizer Heimatwerk was transformed into a non-profit partnership whose focus was around the promotion and development of truly Swiss arts and crafts.

The range of products ranges from traditional Helvetian designs to contemporary trends, everything from wooden tops to glass bowls and jewelry. These diverse and delicate pieces are all “Made in Switzerland”, making the SchweizerHeimatwerk product line unique in the world.
