The restaurant has been serving fish and seafood since 1992 and is very popular among locals. Their reputation comes from their sincere service, excellent quality, traditional palates and a great variety of fresh local fish and seafood.
The restaurant also offers spectacular views of the Bosphorus and the nearby Fort Rumeli. This is also one of the strong points that attracts tourists here.
The restaurant is located in a building that has been repaired and restored by the famous architect Haydar Aydin and his partner, architect Tuan Pekgöz. During the repair and restoration, they were careful not to damage the historic building's features. The front of the restaurant is completely glass so diners can enjoy the magnificent Bosphorus strait from their seats. When the weather is nice, the windows in front of the lobby open to let in the breeze from the sea.
There's an American-style bar in the corner inside the living room, where diners can sip cocktails and some pre-dinner snacks. Here, diners can also find a variety of cigars for cigar lovers.
Restaurant Iskele is known for its delicious appetizers and fish dishes, whether you prefer a specialty that is always made with fresh, seasonal fish, or just grilled or fried, you can count on all the delicacies that come your way. They process it here. Try the sea bass in tomato sauce or mushroom cream sauce, one of the prime examples of specially cooked steamed fish, or if you're curious, try the restaurant's special Salted Sea Bass.
Before the fish main course, the restaurant also has a variety of cold appetizers and entrees. However, the biggest danger you will encounter is anorexia when you try them all. Of the cold appetizers, Lakerda, Shrimp Cocktail, Caviar, Smoked Fish, Sea Bass Marinated with Mustard Sauce, Mackerel Special, Eggplant Salad, Herbs (Sea Beans, Radika) and Cheese are the best options you should taste.
Grilled Squid with Garlic Butter Sauce, Seafood Crepe with Cream Sauce, Seafood Pancake, Hot Steak, Squid, Pan-Fried Shrimp, Shrimp Stew, Jumbo Shrimp, Fish Ball, Tomato Pepper and Mushroom, Optional Shrimp, and Then Grilled Fener appetizer cold and right after the fish.
After your meal, you can try Chocolate Souffle, Bread Kadayif, Şekerpare, Quince, Zucchini and homemade Baklavas for dessert. Don't forget to taste coffee, tea, nescafe, espresso, as well as wines, and it's a special treat for our loyal customers.
The restaurant opens at 12:00 noon and closes around midnight daily. Reservations required, all major credit cards are accepted.
