Haunted house in Hanoi

This house was originally built to house the Bulgarian Embassy but for some reason was abandoned and unused. Locals believe it to be haunted and they even say that someone has seen ghosts walking around in this house.

Today, Halloween festival is being widely celebrated across the globe, but in Hanoi it is still not really popular. On this holiday, in Western countries decorations are often delicately hung outside the store to attract customers. However, Vietnamese people are often superstitious and fictional spooky stories, to them, suddenly become serious. So serious that an entire building at 300 Kim Ma Street was completely abandoned, and locals whispered that it was haunted by evil spirits and dead babies.

The house was built over a period of almost 10 years to house the Bulgarian Embassy, but they were spooked by the building's haunted stories and moved the Embassy to a new location. The land was hastily handed over to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs a few years ago. After that, so many strange things happened here and the building suddenly became the most spooky place in the city.

The building has been abandoned for about 30 years, the walls peeling and dusty making it gray and covered with stains that are said to be dried blood. There's no electricity here and apart from a few stray dogs and cats, it's completely empty. There is no other life form except a few weeds that grow randomly and it becomes creepy as if this is hell and not in a modern city.

Some say that the building was formerly the site of a cemetery or a temple, and the spirits of those from the past still linger in the grounds. Others claimed they heard a child's screams from the building late at night. A story about how someone who used to be a security guard of a building had his bed pushed aside in the middle of the night, like something out of a scary ghost movie. There's even a viral image of a man standing in front of the building, with a ghostly figure resembling a tired, faded woman behind him.

In the early spring of 2009, the day before Valentine's Day, there was a murder outside the building. A man was found in a bloodied Lexus. His throat was slit by an angry girlfriend. Another story tells that a Bulgarian secretary was suddenly paralyzed after investigating strange noises in the building.

Many people do not believe those stories to be true, and many businesses have tried to set up their companies here, however, none of them have succeeded. Bad things always happen to them that make them give up.

There are also a few people who do not believe in these stories and frankly reject them. They claim that what really happened was that Bulgaria bought the place, but they abandoned it because they didn't have enough money to renovate it. The only thing going on inside this place is young men going in there to use drugs. People are just posting fake information on Facebook to get likes.

However, the story of the haunted house is still spreading and many people come to this address just to satisfy their curiosity. Many young people even come here to check-in and take pictures with this rumored house.
