La Fête de la Musique is an annual music festival held on June 21 every year. This is where musicians, amateur and professional singers promote their songs and musical styles.

Music is the best and most complete conveyance of emotions, helping us feel to the deepest corners of the soul. Music evokes emotions and memories, colors memory, paints it with all the colors of life. With an endless passion for music and a clear understanding of its meaning to life, in November 1981, Mr. Jack Lang, a famous French politician, had held the position of Minister of Culture & Education many times. France, has rekindled a bold plan with the aim of bringing music everywhere.

After months of preparation, the music festival (La Fête de la musique) was born on June 21, 1982. It was the summer solstice, based on the ancient custom of the feast of Saint-Jean. "Let's play and be immersed in music", that saying has become a trademark of Jack Lang and brings everyone closer together. With free concerts, sponsorship from SACEM (musicians association and music publisher), and media attention, after only a few years, the music festival has become one of the activities. Large cultural activities are very welcome and become a beautiful tradition of the French.

Even though it's just a simple stage, the performers don't wear fancy clothes, but it's that simplicity with their talent and the loose play of professional artists and amateur street musicians. brought fresh colors to all types of music and won a wave of response from the masses. People are excited to perform rock, jazz, folk songs and even classical music… Moreover, the arrival of summer makes the day long until 10pm, so the music parties become endless.
