Ea So Nature Reserve is an important national reserve of Dak Lak province. The vegetation in the reserve is very diverse such as evergreen closed forest, semi-deciduous closed forest, broadleaf forest, large glade, shrub, tropical dry tall grass, semi-deciduous forest. mixed bamboo, bamboo, bamboo forest, le gai, .... In the forest, there are many kinds of rare and precious woods such as ka te, red oak, cypress, chariot, cedar... According to statistics, Ea So nature reserve has a total of 709 species with 139 families, belonging to different branches. such as pine, fern and ylang-ylang. As for the fauna, there are 44 species of mammals, 158 species of birds, 23 species of reptiles, 7 species of frogs, in which there are some particularly rare and precious birds and animals such as rice panthers, elephants, cheetahs, gaurs, etc. Sun bears, sun bears, red squirrels, black gibbons, red-faced monkeys, white pheasants… In addition to rare flora and fauna, the reserve is also an ecological forest with a 3-tier waterfall that has been silently flowing for generations. The waterfall has a water column height of about 30m and the beloved name of the people here for this 3-tier waterfall is Bay waterfall. Compared with other waterfalls of Dak Lak such as Gia Long waterfall, Krong Kmar waterfall, ... Bay waterfall is less well known because it is not convenient to travel and is located in the Conservation area, so tourism exploitation is still limited. are very limited. Bay Waterfall is just a very short section of Krong Nang stream that is busy flowing into the Ba River, originating from the 1,549m high Ngoc Ro peak of the Truong Son mountain range (in Gia Lai province) and then overcoming many difficulties to integrate into the river.
