Soi Sim Island

Soi Sim Island is a beautiful island of Ha Long Bay. The island is 12km from Tuan Chau international cruise port and about 11km from Ha Long international port. If you want to visit the island, you will go to one of the two ports to buy tickets to visit the bay and train tickets. Note when buying entrance tickets, Soi Sim island is only available on route 2.

The name Soi Sim island is a pretty funny name, it's been called by people for a long time. The reason for this unique name is that on the island there are many Sim trees, a natural shrub with purple flowers and fruits, so the people have named the island Soi Sim. Summer is also the time when the myrtle trees bloom, purple the whole area, making the landscape here which is already poetic even more lyrical.

Soi Sim Island is one of the few land islands in the core area of the Heritage, so it has a rich and diverse flora. Soi Sim Island with an area of about 7.8ha, about 700m from Ti Top Island. Right at the foot of the island is a fine white sand beach about 200m long (recognized as a tourist beach in 2014). The beach with clear sea water, along with fine white sand, has a gentle level that is very suitable for swimming.

After swimming in the sea, visitors can explore the island through a system of bridges to walk around the island and climb mountains to admire the scenery. Soi Sim Island is considered the most pristine because it is less affected by humans, the vegetation is still intact. You can explore flora and fauna through conquering the top of Soi Sim mountain with more than 400 wooden steps. Along the way up, you will see green trees growing in the middle of the steps, the trees that are kept by the island management when making the steps to the top of the mountain. If you are lucky on a good day, you will encounter the natural inhabitants of the island, which are monkeys, the monkeys here are quite gentle and brave so you can see them from a close distance. After about 20 minutes, reaching the top, everyone will admire the beautiful scenery here, zoom out to see the whole scene of Ha Long Bay, you will definitely have super beautiful shooting angles for you. me when I'm up here. Train ticket price: 150,000 VND / 1 person.
