Khao Sam Roi Yot's dramatic landscape with its endless limestone peaks decorated in lush greenery inspired its name (Khao Sam Roi Yot means 'mountain with three hundred peaks') '). Covering an area of nearly 100 square kilometers along the coast, about 60 kilometers south of Hua Hin, Khao Sam Roi Yot is located close to the dreamlike seascape of Krabi province in southern Thailand. Covered with swamps, wetlands and mangroves, the mountains are teeming with wildlife, including deer, crab-eating macaques and chamois, and several species of Asian antelope.

This is the paradise of nature lovers. Khao Sam Roi Yot boasts diverse vistas, from white sandy beaches and offshore islands to craggy cave cliffs, forest trails and freshwater marshes inhabited by wildlife. large waterfowl, songbirds and raptors - more than 300 species in total. If you're a bird-watching enthusiast, the best time to visit the park is from September to November, when hundreds of species of seabirds migrate from Siberia, China and northern Europe to feed and rest. , before continuing their journey south to Australia. The birds migrate here again from March to May, for the return journey.

Cave exploration and hiking are equally enjoyable activities. About 400 meters from the park's headquarters, a 30-minute walk up the hill will bring you to the beautiful sunrise spot in Khao Daeng (best time to go from 05:30 - 07:00). Afterwards, try visiting one of the caves that dot the mountain peaks. Kaeo Caves are deep in the mountains, and to get there you need to hike along an uneven, forested trail for two hours (contact headquarters for instructions). In addition, Hang Sai, about 9 km from the headquarters, 30 minutes walking uphill about 9 km, this cave is more accessible than the rest. Both caves boast beautiful translucent stalactites and stalagmites.

However, Tham Phraya Nakhon is not to be missed, a cave with a hatch in the arch that allows a perpendicular shaft of light to shine into a Thai pavilion built for King Rama V - one of the famous attractions. its most.

Surrounded on three sides by steep limestone mountains, the entrance to the cave is about 430 meters uphill from Laem Sala Beach. Inside, the spacious class has the only Thai-style pavilion dedicated to King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). Located just below two large shafts, where sunlight shines through in the early morning, the house looks quite mysterious and surreal. The ideal time to start this perfect 'downlight' is 10:30.

To reach the cave, take a 20-minute boat ride to Laem Sala Beach and an additional 30-minute hike up a steep, forested trail. From the parking lot, you can also walk for about an hour along the steep cliff trail, which overlooks the picturesque coastline.
