The highlight of Underwater World Pattaya is its glass tunnel. Walking through the 105-meter-long acrylic glass tunnel, visitors will experience the feeling of walking on the ocean floor surrounded by thousands of fish of various species including sharks, stingrays and giant grouper. As the fish swims right next to you and you can see the fish from every angle.
The tunnel is divided into the Coral Reef zone, the Open Ocean zone and the Giant of Siam zone. In the Coral Reef area you will see some colorful corals and many tropical fish like giant shoals. Meet marine species like blackhead reef sharks, eagle rays, black rays, fat nurse sharks, and spades in the Open Ocean.
The Giant of Siam has an artificial wreck used as a shelter for marine animals. The area is home to the species of arapaima, a very large freshwater fish that can grow to 15 feet in length. Underwater World is quite unique with tanks containing different species of jellyfish with colorful lighting system. A unique experience and chance to get up close with fish like giant sardines, sharks and stingrays is to go diving in the Reef or Shark & Ray area. After receiving instructions, you will dive in the aquarium with a diving instructor.
