Nowhere in Frankfurt is it as vibrant and colorful as the fresh produce market in Kleinmartkhalle's two-story building. Like most of the city's structures destroyed in the bombing, the original neo-Renaissance hall was modernized in 1954.
The Kleinmarkthalle has long been a local favorite, featuring 160 shops spread over 1489 square meters, offering fresh meats, wines, honey, cheese, handmade pastas, and more. dried fruits, flowers and other products. Handkäse and a variety of sausages and wholegrain German bread are also available.
On the first floor is the Marktstubb cafe, serving hearty local dishes. On the second floor terrace, filled with potted fresh flowers, is where a small wine shop run by the local winery serves wines that match the food customers buy downstairs.
