Located on Kabanbai Batyr Street, Bowler Coffee Roasters is a coffee roaster, founded by Mathijs Antoon Olij, an Indonesian of Dutch descent, in 2016. Mathijs discovered the Italian way of making coffee. on a trip to Italy when he was 14 years old. After that, he decided to follow a barista course in Portland, USA, thereby opening his own door to the world of coffee. The design of the bar is reminiscent of Mathijs' hometown of the Netherlands. Unlike some cafes in Europe, Bowler serves locally produced Dutch-style pastries, with the aim of contributing as much as possible to the local economy and development, while preserving the most authentic flavor of the cake.

Holder was opened in September 2018 by three friends: Nurden Bulekov, Vadim Ovechkin and Dauren Abushakhman.
