Asakusa Kannon Temple

This is an ancient temple in Tokyo also known as Sensoji Temple, which attracts hundreds of millions of visitors every year.

- The temple was built in 645, is a place Japanese people often go to at the beginning of each new year to pray for a happy and peaceful new year.

- The temple is located in the center, about 2.5km from Tokyo Sky Tower if traveling by car and about 8km from the Japanese Imperial Palace.

- The temple worships Quan The Am Bodhisattva who protects and protects the people, built with a unique architecture. In between the two Kaminarimon gates (thunder gate) and Hozomon gate (treasure gate) is a 200m road that sells beautiful souvenirs and you can enjoy local dishes.

- The best time to come here on festive occasions such as:

Sanja Festival: takes place on the 3rd weekend of the 3rd week of May. This is a major festival of the temple to commemorate the founders of the temple.

The Hagoita-ichi Festival, also known as the Racquet Fair, is an important traditional event of the people of the Land of the Rising Sun. The event will be held from December 17-19 every year.

There is also the Asakusa Samba Carnival which takes place in August
