  The story goes that the fairies descended to Son Tra Peninsula because of its beauty. A local young man accidentally saw the most beautiful fairy and fell in love with her. He hid the fairy's clothes so she couldn't return to heaven and stayed to be his wife. However, when the Jade Emperor discovered this, he became furious and created storms. Heartbroken by the suffering of the villagers, the fairy had to bid farewell to her husband and return to heaven. Since then, the sea area became peaceful, and the locals called it Tien Sa, as a memory of the beautiful love story between the mortal man and the fairy.
• The Love Story of Bai But
  At Bai But, another tale tells of a young couple deeply in love but separated when the husband met with an accident at sea. The girl cried day and night, causing Buddha to appear and comfort her, advising her to pray for the lost souls. Following the advice, the girl decided to shave her head and become a Buddhist nun, sincerely praying for the villagers. Since then, this beach has been called Bai But, symbolizing the filial piety and peace of the local fishermen.
