Shedd Aquarium

The Shedd Aquarium is home to more than 32,000 marine creatures, some of which visitors can touch and interact with.

The aquarium has 7 permanent exhibitions, of which the most famous are:

• Amazon Rising Exhibition : Discover the creatures that inhabit the Amazon jungle. The exhibition includes many typical fish species such as piranha, crocodile, electric eel... and some reptiles such as giant Anaconda snake or frog.
• Abbott Oceanarium Exhibition: This can be said to be one of the most popular exhibitions here. Designed to mimic the ecosystem along the Pacific Northwest coast, the exhibit includes white whales, dolphins, sea lions and sea otters. There are also interesting shows.
• Wild Reef exhibit : Modeled after a reef in the Philippines, this is home to a wide variety of sharks, rays, corals and other fish that commonly inhabit the same corals.
• Caribbean Reef Show: Featuring a large glass aquarium, the exhibit offers visitors a 360-degree view of marine life in the Caribbean with sharks, sea turtles, eels and a variety of other fish.

In addition, the Shedd Aquarium has a number of other exhibits about the creatures that live in rivers, lakes and seas.

For young children, the Polar Play zone is a place where children can dress up as penguins, learn to be scientists or explore ice caves.

Visitors can also have experiences up close with some of the creatures here such as shark feeding, experience with white whales, or penguins... These experiences will be charged separately.

To spend the most time visiting at the aquarium, visitors should book tickets in advance, the waiting time on weekends may be longer.
