Profile
Café du Soleil is located in front of the Petit-Saconnex Church and has long been a favorite with locals. With a lifespan of over 400 years, it is interesting to know that the church was built after this restaurant.
Famous for its traditional Swiss cheese fondue, voted by many locals as the best with the most ideal seat in Geneva. The charming terrace of the Café du Soleil is as graceful as from a Provencal village, offering a bit of peace under the shade of the plane trees.
Plates of ham, ham and Valais cheese as appetizers for guests before they enjoy the fondue. For those who don't like fondue, the Café serves other cheese dishes like tomme and malakoff cheese. Diners who are on a diet do not worry because they still have a choice from different salads such as chicken liver salad, vegan salad, warm salad with blue cheese, or raw vegetables. Breakfast dishes from eggs and steak are also a favorite choice from diners.
In addition to the famous traditional cheese fondue, Café du Soleil is also known for its variety of desserts such as meringue served with Gruyère fat cream, soft chocolate and vanilla ice cream with chocolate cake.
The restaurant has two rooms, one on the ground floor and one upstairs. A small staircase will lead guests to the cozy small space upstairs. On summer days, the space in the garden with the shade of the heart is always the favorite choice of everyone.
