Karon Beach in Phuket

The peak tourist season in Phuket is from November to April, at this time the Karon Sea has very few waves and the sea is crystal clear. However, sometimes there are still dangerous whirlpools due to the southwest wind, so when swimming, you need to be careful and heed the warnings of lifeguards on the beach.

Karon Beach offers excellent conditions for windsurfing in Phuket. There's plenty of space for you to show off your skills. There are no public toilets along the Karon coast, but some restaurants across the street often allow you to use theirs for a few baht.

The Karon coast is also a place where sea turtles often lay their eggs at night. If you see any turtles or their tracks, notify your hotel so they can contact the Phuket Marine Life Centre. There is a project to conserve and develop the sea turtle population by rescuing injured turtles and incubating turtle eggs in a safe environment.

Around Karon beach, there are many mid-range to luxury resorts that offer on-site dining with a variety of cuisines. In addition, there are also many seafood restaurants located just north of Karon Circle and several others along the beach road between Karon and Kata for you to enjoy.
