This experience takes you through the old town, a maze that mixes old legends, must-see landmarks, crazy stories and vibrant traditions. The tour starts at the Hard Rock Cafe in Plaça Catalunya, the most iconic square in Barcelona Soon we step into Barri Gòtic through the hidden passage that connects yesterday and today. It's the medieval maze populated with narrow alleys, concealed churches, shaded plazas and centuries-old legends. Get ready to take in an experience that shows Barcelona’s hidden side. As you touch the Roman walls and temple, you experience the city’s history. Stories abound – the bombing in Sant Felip Neri’s Square, the 13 geese of our cathedral and the falling down of Santa Eulalia. There are so many things to discover and I will share it all with you through fun and interactive conversation. Along the way, I will of course also tell you all about the way locals live their lives in the modern-day! To conclude this experience filled with legends and stories, we walk all the way to Santa Maria del Mar, known also as The Sea Cathedral. In the 2/3 hours tour around the neighborhood of Gracia, you'll enjoy the local life and pass through several of the most emblematic shops in the area, discover the meaning of market for us and why Gracia is so famous. I'll fully customize the tour depending on the season and according to your wishes. Whether you are vegetarian or would like to adapt the tour for your family, just let me know! I'll make sure you experience and taste the specialties of the Catalan market. In the market, you can enjoy several dishes, tapas and drinks (beer, wine, non-alcoholic drinks and coffee or tea). Depending on the season, we'll have 4 to 5 of tastings of local fruit, cheeses and meats, fish or seafood, other local specialties, and one drink per person. Because it's a local market, on Monday doesn't sell fish, we could do the tour, but without any fish option and doesn't open on Sunday ::::: Please, remember the difference in time when you wait for an answer. This experience explores the work of the architects who made Barcelona so unique and special. It's a great introduction to the city and all the beautiful things that can be discovered here! The tour starts at “the apple of discord” – the famous corner where 3 of the most amazing houses in Barcelona shows us the meaning of "Modernismo" We will then continue to explore Passeig de Gracia, where modern-day Barcelona first started. I'll tell you all about the history of this architectural style and how it evolved in the city. Next up is Eixample's district where we will see the stunning Fundacio Tapies, Farmacia Bolos, and we some of Gaudi’s main constructions – Casa Batlló and Casa Milà. Next, to explaining about the various architectural styles, I will also tell you about the human aspects behind each of these buildings! I'll let you know who commissioned each of these buildings and what it’s like to live here today. And last, but definitely not least, we will go to the masterpiece of Gaudi: the Sagrada Familia! We'll admire the outside and I will tell you about all there is to know about the most beautiful and most known architectural work in Barcelona.
