Kurfuerstendamm

On the West side of Berlin, precisely in the Charlottenburg district, the city's most famous shopping street, Kurfürstendamm, is to be found. Also known as "Ku'damm".

During the Cold War between East and West Germany, Kurfürstendamm served as the leading commercial street for capitalist West Germany. Today, the street is home to many high-fashion boutiques such as Armani, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, about 100 different stores and especially large department stores such as KaDeWe and Peek & Cloppenburg.

In addition to the shops, there are many nice restaurants and cafes around the area.
