Hon Chong is one of the most famous attractions in Nha Trang with the perfect combination of rocky mountains and beautiful beaches. Coming to Hon Chong, you can not only enjoy the natural scenery but also hear interesting stories about the legend of Hon Chong.

Hon Chong is located 3.5km north of Nha Trang city center, consisting of two giant rock clusters lying along the coast at the foot of La San hill with boulders lying messy due to tidal erosion. The large offshore rock cluster called Hon Chong, Hon Chong consists of a square block, lying flat and larger. The large embankments of Hon Chong combine to form an unbalanced position that makes anyone who sees it for the first time be surprised. The largest one is about the size of a small hill, it serves as a base to house another giant rock the size of a house on top of it. Seen from under the sea, there is a 5-finger fingerprint that still confuses and intrigues tourists, historians and scientists.

The Legend of Hon Chong Hon Vo

According to legend, once upon a time, when a giant man was fishing there, a giant fish swallowed the bait and dragged him away. He tried to back away with a fishing rod in his hand, the other hand pressed against the giant rock leaving noticeable marks. On the bedrock, some rocks stand strangely after each other, like two standing rocks with another large rock in the middle like a large stone gate connecting another group of rocks. The second group of rocks has the shape of a sitting woman facing the sea. People call it Hon Vo, which means close to Hon Chong

The beach at Hon Chong has recently been explored for tourism development. In the past, visitors who wanted to come here had to overcome steep hills and walk around. Tran Phu Street now extends into La San Hill. Running along the coast in the northeast from the city center, visitors will arrive at Hon Chong. The way to Hon Chong is now very poetic thanks to one side is the sea with endless stretches of golden sand, the other side is beautiful architectural works that are always crowded with people. Hon Chong is also a rendezvous for nature lovers to admire the beautiful landscapes.
