Siddhivinayak Temple has a small mandapam (hall) where the main deity is worshiped. Boasting exquisite architecture, the sanctuary has wooden doors meticulously carved with images of Ashtavinayaka or the eight manifestations of the god Ganesha. The idol in the temple is carved from a single black stone with the tree trunk lying on the right side. The statue has four hands called Chaturbhuj, the right hand side holds a lotus while the upper left side holds a small ax. A bowl full of modaks (an Indian sweet), along with holy nuts is also placed here. The upper floors of the temple are the residences of priests. Although the temple remains crowded throughout the week, it is most crowded on Tuesdays.
Statues of goddesses Riddhi and Siddhi are placed on each side of the statues of Ganesha, who symbolize sanctity, success, wealth and prosperity. The name 'Siddhivinayak' translates to Ganesha who grants you wishes. Outside there is also a temple of the god Hanuman. One of the narrow paths leading up to the temple is called phool gali and is lined with vendors selling wreaths, tulsi (basil) leaves, coconuts and sweets, which can be offered to the gods.
