At first, Tuyen Lam Lake was called Quang Trung Lake, and was built in 1982, to supply water for agriculture, Tuyen Lam Lake was renamed in 1987 to reflect the confluence of streams, forests, and mountains. During the war, this area served as a strategic base, leaving a special historical mark. In 1998, the lake was recognized as a national Historical – Cultural Monument, highlighting part of the unique cultural values of Da Lat.
