Profile
Little Havana, the Cuban area of Miami, doesn't have many tourist attractions, but it is a place of unique culture. Along the two sides of the road are many restaurants and shops with specialty dishes, surrounded by lively Latin music. Locals chat freely with each other in the open outdoor areas. The walls in the area are decorated with paintings depicting Cuban daily life scenes and important characters.
Calle Ocho is the main thoroughfare that runs through the area and is home to many recreational activities, making it an ideal place for people-watching. In particular, this is of course the place to enjoy authentic Cuban food.
Calle Ocho Festival is held every March. This is the world's largest celebration of Cuban culture. In recent years, the festival has expanded to not only Cuban culture, but also Latin American culture. The festival is a great opportunity for visitors to experience Latin American music and Caribbean cuisine.
