According to many travelers, experiencing the Jungle Elephant Sanctuary is one of the best things to do in Pattaya. Coming to this reserve, visitors not only learn about the behavior of elephants but also have interesting activities with elephants.

Elephant Sanctuary is located not far from Pattaya city. Here, activities such as elephant rides, trekking or circus activities are not allowed. In fact, the Forest Elephant Sanctuary is the first tourist attraction in Pattaya that offers the opportunity to interact with the animals in an "elephant-friendly" environment.

Elephants at Pattaya Forest Elephant Sanctuary have either retired from shows, or have been rescued from heartless and cruel owners. As at many elephant sanctuaries in Chiang Mai, elephants are allowed to roam free, no hooks are used, and elephants are not used for performances.

What the Pattaya Forest Elephant Sanctuary really offers is the rare opportunity for humans to interact with elephants by feeding them and going into the water with them to soak in the mud and bathe them. It's all about being eco-friendly and doing the things elephants enjoy.

Upon arrival at the park, you will be given a brief lecture on feeding habits, behavior and how to approach elephants and feed them. After that, the guides will give you a box of bananas each and take you to the exchange and feed the elephants. After feeding the elephants, you will learn how to make paper from elephant dung.

The last activity at Pattaya Elephant Forest Sanctuary is bathing the elephants. First, you will give them a mud bath, then a dip in another pond to wash off the mud, and finally a bath with a hose.

Experience at the forest elephant sanctuary in Pattaya is a very unique experience. You don't have to travel to an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai to enjoy this delightful visit. The Pattaya Elephant Sanctuary is professionally run and is definitely the only way to get up close and personal with the elephants.
