The small restaurant Tanám is located in an area with a variety of restaurants in Somerville, which has won the 2019 Restaurant of the Year award of the food website Eater Boston. With only 1 large table, the restaurant aims to connect the community and relationships between people, while enjoying Filipino and American cuisine.
There are 2 main experiences here: Story Evening and Kamaya Style Evening.
- Storytelling dinner is a meal with 5 fixed dishes, taking place on Friday and Saturday nights. The reason this is called Storytelling Night is because through the dishes, the chef will tell the story of Filipino culture and cuisine in the US.
- At Kamayan Dinner, diners will eat dishes by hand, which takes place on Wednesday and Sunday nights.
To participate in these meals, diners need to book in advance on the restaurant's website.
In addition, every Thursday, the restaurant serves light snacks with cocktails, which diners can come without reservation.
The restaurant also has a list of novelty cocktails, created by the restaurant.
