Distinctive Architecture

The mosque has undergone five renovations, the most recent being in 1965, and it was recognized as a national historical and cultural site in 1989. Its architecture is characterized by a grand arched main entrance and long corridors. The predominant colors are blue and white, creating an elegant appearance. The mosque's roof is adorned with a large oval dome featuring the crescent moon and star symbol, emblematic of Islam.

Inside, the mosque offers a spacious and airy atmosphere, with multiple entrances and eight large pillars, accommodating numerous worshippers. The prayer hall is designed in an arch style, allowing worshippers to face the setting sun during prayers.

Cultural Activities and Festivals

An Giang Mubarak Mosque hosts many cultural and traditional festivals of the Cham Muslim community. Three major celebrations are held annually: the Maulid festival commemorating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, the Roja Haji (pilgrimage to Mecca), and the Cham New Year, which usually coincides with Ramadan. These events attract a large number of worshippers from various regions, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere.

Cham Muslim Cemetery

Adjacent to the mosque is the cemetery for the Cham Muslims, where many worshippers rest in peace. The graves do not distinguish between social status, reflecting the belief in equality in death.
