Ba Roc village is a village located at the foot of Chu Mom Ray mountain, in the territory of Sa Son commune, about 35 km west of Kon Tum city. This is a village of the Gia Rai ethnic group with many unique and pristine traditional cultures that are still preserved to this day.

According to the Gia Rai language, "Bar" means a rope, "Rgo" means a forest tree stump, "Bar Rg" is roughly understood as a rope wrapped around a forest tree so that people can stay there. reside. The name “Bar Rgo” given to the village is derived from an ancient story. According to the village elder, from thousands of years ago, Gia Rai people have lived around these Chu Mom Ray mountains. But one day, when the sky was cloudy, the villagers pulled together to find a place with a rock cave and old trees to avoid hurricanes. When going to the place where they live now, people meet many old tree stumps with big trunks that some people can't hug, surrounded by many dense vines, so the villagers go to those trees to shelter from the rain. After the rain, the villagers saw that this place was quite flat, the trees were lush, so they agreed to stop to establish a village and named the village Bar Goc.

Ba Roc village is one of the villages that still preserves many traditional cultures and rituals of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands, such as the statue of the tomb house (the statue featured in the Po Thi ceremony (abandoning the grave) of Gia Rai ethnic group), coming of age ceremony, interrogation ceremony, wedding ceremony, twinning ceremony, village worshiping ceremony, water wharf worshiping ceremony, new communal house celebration, sowing ceremony, flowering ceremony... At the same time, The village still retains 1 communal house and 8 stilt houses built in the traditional style. Coming to Ba Roc village, visitors have the opportunity to encounter village girls sitting hard by the loom, skillfully weaving each thread into brocade sets for their families. Besides, in addition to learning about the life and culture of the people here, visitors also have the opportunity to experience many different musical instruments of the village, which are commonly used in festivals. There are 13-15 gongs of the Gia Rai people in Bar Goc village, ting ning, klon pu, rock, lip harp...
