A trip on the lake is definitely one of the best ways to discover the beauty of the Lake. During the summer months, the Hemetsberger transit company offers two different trips around the lake. The tour with "Hallstatt" begins in Hallstatt Lahn and continues through Obertraun - on the other side of the lake - past the romantic castle Grub and to the heart of Hallstatt. The excursion boat "Goisern" sails along the east coast to Untersee and Steeg (Bad Goisern) on the northern tip of Lake Hallstatt. And anyone standing at the stern of one of the cruise ships, watching the waves bubbling, can think and know how man has conquered the power of water.

In addition, visitors can rent a canoe to explore Lake Hallstatt. Fresh air on the water, sunshine and beautiful nature on the fjord-like lake between Bad Goisern and Obertraun make visitors feel really relaxed. Renting a private canoe helps visitors not depend on a fixed schedule and can go anytime they want. In addition, visitors can explore areas that cannot be reached by large boats. Experiencing the lakes in the world heritage area enjoying the wonderful panorama of Lake Hallstatt is a must for any visitor.
