DAY 1 – ARRIVAL AT ROVANIEMI LAPLAND
Arrival at snowy Apukka Resort Rovaniemi. Our driver will welcome you at Rovaniemi Airport, and after a 10-minute drive, you will arrive at Apukka Resort in the middle of authentic Lappish nature. Finally, it’s time to check in and settle down in your spectacular accommodation.
DAYS 2-3 – FESTIVE DAYS IN APUKKA RESORT
The best way to start the day is with a buffet breakfast at our atmospheric Lappish Restaurant Aitta.

Tour 1: Apukka Husky Tour, duration 2 hours
Experience the thrill of dog sledding on our Apukka Husky Tour! On this 7-10 km long husky sled ride, you’ll get to lead the pack of huskies across the snowy sceneries. Not only will you have a ride with the huskies, but time with them as well. As you pet our huskies and pose for photos with them, you’ll hear stories about their way of life here in Rovaniemi.

Tour 2: Aurora hunt by Snow Train, duration 3 hours
Hunt for the Northern Lights in the comfort of our one-of-a-kind, warm carriage, Snowtrain. You head out to the wilderness, far from the artificial lights, to up the odds of seeing this natural phenomenon. Gather around the bonfire to hear our Northern Lights expert tell you both facts and beliefs about the Aurora Borealis, gaze upon the sky, and admire the silence of the Arctic night. As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, nobody can give a 100% guarantee to see them, but this trip presents an excellent chance!

We set up a Festive dinner buffet on New Year’s Eve in our Restaurant Aitta. Aitta’s 100 years old log walls and delicious food makes an unforgettable setting for your search for New Year magic.
