Overview

This cultural-focused FAM Trip introduces the authentic side of Sapa through ethnic villages, local communities, and eco-tourism models. Guests will experience the traditions, hospitality, and daily life of Northern Vietnam’s mountain communities while exploring community-based tourism, sustainable accommodation concepts, and unique cultural experiences.

Program schedule

Overnight Train Experience | Hanoi – Lao Cai

Depart from Hanoi Railway Station at approximately 21:30 – 22:30 aboard an overnight sleeper train to Lao Cai, one of the most iconic travel experiences in Northern Vietnam and a memorable gateway to the mountain region of Sapa.

Day 1 | Lao Cai Arrival – Ethnic Villages & Cultural Encounters (Breakfast/Lunch)

Arrive at Lao Cai Railway Station early in the morning and meet your local guide.
Enjoy a herbal foot bath, breakfast, and light refreshments before continuing the scenic drive through the Hoang Lien Son mountain range toward Sapa.
Visit Y Linh Ho Village, Lao Chai Village, and Ta Van Village, some of Sapa’s most well-known ethnic communities offering authentic insight into local traditions and village life.
Walk through terraced rice fields, traditional homes, and peaceful valleys while interacting with local Hmong and Giay communities.
Experience traditional village life, local handicrafts, seasonal farming activities, and community-based tourism models.
Lunch at a local restaurant or community-style venue featuring Northwest Vietnamese specialties.
Continue with selected hospitality and eco-lodge inspections, showcasing accommodation concepts focused on sustainability, nature, and cultural immersion.
Optional experiences may include local herbal tea tasting, traditional textile and embroidery presentations, or a mountain café stop overlooking the valleys.
Return to Sapa town and enjoy free time exploring Sapa Stone Church, the local market, cafés, and walking streets.
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight in Sapa.

Day 2 | Local Lifestyle Experience – Return to Noi Bai Airport (Breakfast/Lunch)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Continue the destination inspection program with visits to selected hotels, boutique resorts, restaurants, and tourism venues suitable for international leisure travelers and experiential travel programs.
Optional cultural experiences may include Red Dao herbal traditions, local market exploration, ethnic costume photography, and traditional food tasting.
Enjoy free time to experience the relaxed atmosphere of Sapa town before departure.
Early lunch.
Depart Sapa by shared/open limousine bus to Noi Bai International Airport at approximately 11:00.
Estimated arrival at Noi Bai International Airport is around 17:30 – 18:00, subject to traffic conditions.
Arrival at the airport for the evening flight.
End of services.

Weather in Sapa can change quickly throughout the day.
Visitors are encouraged to dress modestly and respect local customs when visiting ethnic minority communities.
Comfortable walking shoes and a lightweight rain jacket are recommended.
A minimum of 2 guests is required for the tour to operate.

Before 7 days: 100% refund.
From 4 - 7 days: 30% cancellation fee.
From 2 - 3 days: 50% cancellation fee.
Within 48 hours or No-show: 100% cancellation fee.
Working days: Cancellation time is calculated based on working days only (excluding weekends and public holidays).
Force majeure: In case of flight cancellation or delay due to airline operations or natural disasters, Tatinta will support service rescheduling or negotiate with suppliers to minimize penalties whenever possible.
