Take a guided trip from Ho Chi
Minh City to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Discover how this extensive underground
network was used during the Vietnam War by taking a step back in time.
Travel 60 kilometers outside of Ho Chi Minh City to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Take in
the views of ducks and water buffalo swimming in the rivers along the side of
the road, as well as the rural landscape of rice paddies.
Following a 1.5-hour bike, as we get to the tunnels, you can crawl through the
passageways that the guerilla fighters used to fight back during the Vietnam
War and see a brief documentary that introduces you to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Along
the way, you might notice a meeting room, living quarters, and kitchen. Find
out how various kinds of traps were made and placed. See the weapons room to
discover how the crafty Viet Cong soldiers made them.
Imagine the condition of this
quiet neighborhood during the time it was a "Free Target Zone" and
experienced significant bomb damage and destruction. See the ruins of Cu Chi
that bear witness to the intense conflict that once transpired here. Have a go
at firing an AK-47. Reboard the bus to return to Ho Chi Minh City after the
tour is over.
