🍄 Join the locals in picking vegetables, tubers, and spices from the highlands - ingredients for cooking.
👉 Visitors are instructed on how to compost, use recycled water and practice sustainable intercropping.
🕚 10:30 – Highland cooking class
👨🍳 Join "Cooking Class Ta Van village" with Giay ethnic women.
🍲 Practice preparing 3 traditional dishes:
🍗 Grilled chicken with mac khen / stir-fried wild vegetables with garlic / grilled corn cake.
🧩 Reusable tools and fuel – environmentally friendly.
🍽️ Lunch with a local family, cultural exchange - learn greetings in Giay or H'Mong language.
👉 Principle: use only local ingredients, do not waste food.
🕚 13:30 – Workshop on making organic soap from local herbs
🎎 Join a community craft workshop, guided by local women.
🌴 Learn about the ingredients: coconut oil, beeswax, lemongrass leaves, turmeric, wild mint, bamboo charcoal...
🍫 Practice the process of cooking - stirring - shaping soap; customers can take the product home.
🔸 Introducing a sustainable livelihood soap model to help indigenous women increase their income.
👉 Kraft paper packaging, no plastic – customers can choose to contribute a portion of the fee to grow more replanted herbs.
🕚 15:30 – Afternoon tea & sharing about responsible tourism
☕ Drink Shan Tuyet tea, enjoy sticky rice cakes.
🌍 Chat with your tour guide about the principles of “Travel Responsible – Live Local”.
🏷️ Write down your feelings in your scrapbook: “I came and left something good.”
🕚 16:30 – End of program
🚌 The car takes guests back to Sa Pa town center.
