First, visit the vibrant compound that serves as the heart of the eclectic Cao Dai religion. Then, delve into the Cu Chi Tunnels for a firsthand look at the American-Vietnam war history.

The day begins early with a departure at 7:30 AM, allowing you to fully enjoy this adventure in the picturesque rural area surrounding the southern metropolis. Relax on the drive to Tay Ninh, where the scenery shifts from bustling city to tranquil landscapes.

At Tay Ninh, you'll discover the Cao Dai Great Temple, a striking architectural marvel that seems plucked from a fairy tale. Take in the whimsical statues and vibrant murals adorning this unique temple, while learning about the origins and beliefs of this fascinating religion, which harmoniously combines elements from the world’s major faiths.

You’ll head to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Spend a couple of hours exploring the rugged grounds with a local guide, who will share stories of how the locals constructed this extensive underground network during the tumultuous years of conflict. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can crawl into the tunnels to experience the cramped living conditions firsthand. Once back above ground, observe the clever traps and camouflaged pits that the residents used for self-defense.

Throughout the tour, your guide will provide insights into the effects of war on the local community and the nation. After this enlightening experience, you'll return to Ho Chi Minh City.
