What to expect

Embark on a half-day journey through the heart of Saigon, where history whispers through colonial architecture and modern life pulses in vibrant alleys and cafes.
Begin your day at the Saigon Central Post Office, an architectural gem designed by Gustave Eiffel. Admire its grand arched ceilings and classic tiled floors as your guide shares stories of Saigon’s global connections.
Right across the square, pause to admire the exterior of Notre Dame Cathedral, a 19th-century icon built with bricks and materials shipped from France—standing as a proud reminder of the city’s colonial legacy.
Wander down Book Street (Nguyen Van Binh), a tree-lined haven of literature and creativity. Sip on coconut water or Vietnamese coffee as you browse through local art books and handmade postcards.
Next, stand at the symbolic gates of the Reunification Palace, where the Vietnam War met its end in 1975. If you choose to enter, you’ll walk through preserved meeting halls, underground bunkers, and a rooftop helipad that echo with history.
For a refreshing break, step into a hidden apartment café—tucked away in a retro building above street level. This stop offers a true slice of Saigon’s café culture, paired with coconut or egg coffee and views of daily life below.
Conclude your experience at the bustling Ben Thanh Market, where you’ll be guided through colorful stalls brimming with spices, coffee, snacks, and souvenirs—perfect for tasting local flavors or picking up keepsakes.
