Can Tho city - a day in the Western Capital

05:00: The tour guide picks up guests at No. 46, Hai Ba Trung Street (opposite the Ho Chi Minh Statue – Ninh Kieu Wharf) and assists with boarding a wooden boat to visit the Cai Rang Floating Market. Guests travel for approximately 20 minutes to the heart of the market, where they can enjoy the first rays of sunrise over the Can Tho River. Visit Cai Rang Floating Market – a long-standing cultural symbol of the Mekong Delta. Guests will experience the lively atmosphere of the early morning market, with boats loaded with fruits and goods trading along the river The guide introduces the history of the floating market, its role in the river-based trading life, and distinctive cultural features such as boat types, the “cay beo” (sign pole), and daily life on the water. Visit a traditional rice noodle workshop, learn about the rice noodle-making process in Can Tho, and enjoy the local specialty pork-floss rice noodles on a floating platform.

06:30 : Depart Cai Rang Floating Market and return to Ninh Kieu Wharf.

07:00: Vehicle and guide pick up guests and transfer them back to the hotel or a central meeting point. Guests enjoy breakfast at their own expense.

09:00 : Vehicle and guide take guests to visit the Hung Kings Temple – a cultural and spiritual landmark rich in national identity, holding great historical significance for the Mekong Delta and Vietnam as a whole.

10:00 : Arrive at Co Bac Ferry Pier to visit Con Son Community Tourism Village.  Con Son was formed from alluvial deposits of the Hau River, where fertile soil has nurtured a rich fruit-growing ecosystem. This journey offers insight into local life, traditional cultural values, and the harmonious relationship between people and nature.

• Con Son floating fish farms: experience Koi fish massage and enjoy homemade snakehead fish cakes on the floating raft.

• Organic fruit garden: stroll through the garden and taste seasonal fruits such as rambutan, pomelo, orange, longan, or star apple.

12:00: Lunch at a local restaurant featuring regional specialties, followed by free time to rest.

AFTERNOON

13:30: Continue sightseeing and relaxation:

• Experience making and tasting traditional Southern Vietnamese cakes such as grilled cakes and jackfruit leaf cakes.

• Watch the unique “flying snakehead fish” performance by local farmers and visit a clean guava garden.

Return to the mainland. Vehicle and guide transfer guests back to the meeting point in downtown Can Tho or the original pick-up location, concluding the tour.
