Chu Mom Ray National Park

Chu Mom Ray National Park is about 30km from Kon Tum town, located in two districts of Sa Thay and Ngoc Hoi. With an area of more than 56,000 hectares, of which the special-use forest area accounts for about 54,583.59 hectares, the rest is the production forest area and the buffer zone (which can be understood as the forest area, the land adjacent to the boundary of the special-use forest. has the effect of preventing and reducing the impact on special-use forest areas). It is the only national park in Vietnam adjacent to Virachey National Park of Cambodia to the west and Southeastern Ghong Reserve of Laos to the north. Therefore, the biodiversity here is considered to be the highest in the system of national parks across the country.

Flora in Chu Mom Ray national forest is considered to be quite rich and diverse in number of species. According to the statistics, there are about 1534 species here, of which ferns are 178 species, gymnosperms 11 species, angiosperms 1,302 species and 131 rare species, such as: Bamboo pine, rosewood, rosewood, mahogany...

About the fauna in Chu Mom Ray National Park, there are about 620 species recorded, including: 120 species of mammals, 290 species of birds, 42 species of reptiles, 25 species of amphibians, about 108 species of freshwater fish and about 365 species of insects. Of which, there are 124 rare and precious species listed in the Red Book of Vietnam and the world, such as: red-cheeked gibbon, Truong Son gibbon, gaur, Indochinese tiger, elephant, horse bear, fire leopard, white-lipped snake. , chrysanthemum snake, hornbill, peacock, eagle...

Coming to Chu Mom Ray National Park, visitors will have the opportunity to explore historical sites during the anti-American resistance war, site H 67 - the base of the heroic Central Highlands army with Charge Ly hill, Phuong Hoang airport, ... Or visitors can explore the vast Lo O Forest or visit the rescue center to preserve and develop creatures to see the beautiful forest orchids, monkeys, pheasants, chickens forests, pythons, snakes… are being conserved.

In addition, visitors can also visit Ba Goc Village and Le Village, which are attractive community tourist attractions of Chu Mom Ray National Park. Here, visitors can exchange and learn about the unique culture of Gia Rai and Ro Mam people.
