The Pattaya Bay area is divided into two main beaches. Pattaya Beach, extending 3 km, runs parallel to downtown Pattaya, and features restaurants and various hotels, shops and bars along Beach Road facing the bay. Jomtien Beach lies further south and is more peaceful, moreover, attracting water sports enthusiasts. With a nearby tower and amusement park for children, Jomtien is an outstanding choice. Separating these two beaches is the magnificent Buddha Hill. This is one of the highest points in Pattaya.
