Located in the city center of Nursultan, the elements of the Bayterek Tower were designed with the aim of conveying historical significance to visitors and residents of Kazakhstan, right from the height of the observatory - the symbolic 97 meters high. for 1997, the year in which Astana was named the capital of Kazakhstan. The tower was built in 6 years from 1996 to 2002, under the supervision of famous architects of Kazakhstan.
The memorial conveys a folk tale about a mythical tree and a bird of happiness: the bird, named Samruk, laid its eggs in the gap between two branches of the poplar tree. And that magic is represented by the golden ball at the top of many pointed peaks of the tower. The tower is 105m high, built on a large square in the city center. It consists of a narrow cylindrical shaft, surrounded by support rods that, at first glance, resemble the branches of a poplar tree, supporting a 22m-diameter sphere that is mirrored in gold. The ground floor is the ticket counter and exhibition space, with two elevators going up in the shaft to the observatory in the 'egg'.
The tower's design style is a fusion of the old and the new, creating a special appeal that inspires both Kazakhs and international visitors as they ascend to the top of the tower and see it. View of the city from the observation deck inside the yellow dome. This is a very unique experience, when visitors can step inside the happy golden "egg" - a symbol of legend, from which to see the modern world outside.

It consists of two areas: an area that gives you a 360-degree panoramic view of the city, an area higher than you have to go by stairs where there is a gilded right hand of Nursultan Nazarbayev, General The first system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it was mounted on an ornate, sturdy pedestal.
"Everyone who climbs the Bayterek Tower, will experience the essence of the steppe land" - this is how the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan describes this magnificent structure.
