Located in the Mediterranean to the north of Sicily, the Aeolian is one of Europe's most historically fascinating archipelagos. Each of the seven volcanic islands has its own distinct character, allowing for a wide range of fun activities for visitors.

The archipelago is located off the Tyrrhenian Sea, to the north of the island of Sicily, consisting of 7 main islands of volcanic origin and many other atolls. The largest and most populous of the archipelago is Lipari Island, with much tourist infrastructure. It is a popular tourist destination thanks to its splendid beaches, breathtaking and mysterious caves, clean seas and lots of recreational activities.

The wild and inhospitable island of Stromboli attracts a lot of visitors because of the craters that are still active. This island was once chosen by the famous Italian director Roberto Rossellini as a filming location, so Stromboli is very popular with tourists.

Another island that still has active volcanoes is Vulcano. At a distance of twenty miles from Milazzo, the island is more accessible than all the others. On the island you will see the crater spewing auras with healing properties, along with a very unique scenery.

The island of Salina, with its splendid fern forest and majestic mountains, is perfect for family excursions. In addition, the island is famous for its beaches and great peace. Tourist service in Saline is extremely developed, there are comfortable hotels, shops with everything you need, as well as all kinds of entertainment.

Panarea is the smallest of the archipelago, but the most ancient. Tourists coming here can fully enjoy the nightlife, with its clean coastline and fine sand. Panarea has only about three hundred inhabitants, so in winter it is almost empty. In turn, in the summer, the island becomes an attractive destination for many tourists.

Tourists who have come to Alicudi can find here a quiet wilderness. On the island's territory, there is almost no social civilization, the island is located right under the crater of an extinct volcano and has unspoiled natural beauty. Even during the peak tourist season, you will not be able to find crowded tourist groups, so this place is suitable for those who love peace and quiet.

The island of Filicudi is a haven for a lot of wildlife. This is ideal for lovers of relaxation and animals. In spring, the island is full of flowers and trees that sprout, making it a real paradise.

The Aeolian Islands can be reached at any time of the year, because of the mild climate, almost no rain, and the sun shines constantly. Anyone who sets foot on these islands once in their life cannot forget the wonderful experiences of these unspoiled nature and beautiful beaches.
