One of the oldest structures in Delhi is the Feroz Shah Kotla Fort. Although Feroz Shah Kotla is not as famous as some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Delhi, these ancient ruins are a powerful historical testimony to life in the area many centuries ago. Therefore, it attracts many tourists to visit.

Built by King Feroz Shah Tughlaq in 1354. According to historical sources, this fort was built when the ruler decided to move his capital from Tughlaqabad to Firozabad due to water scarcity at Tughlaqabad. Therefore, the fortress was built on the banks of the holy Yamuna River to serve this purpose. The fort has a number of magnificent gardens, mosques, palaces, etc. located within its complex. The fortress has a huge entrance gate, engraved with the ruler's name, and the boundary of the fortress walls is up to 15m high. Although some of the structures in the fortress have been ruined, the stepwell is still in good condition. The most impressive of which is a sandstone column in the center of the third century fortress, known as the Ashoka Column, which is 13.1 meters high. Beneath the building platforms there are also secret cells.

It is believed that the fortress is inhabited by the "Djinn", or magical supernatural race in Arabic mythology, one of the most well-known "Djinns" is the Genie Genie in the tales of Aladin and famous magic lamp. That is why here people also perform exorcisms for people who are believed to be possessed by demons. Believe it or not, the fact that this 14th-century fortress has stood the test of time is also a worthy reason for visitors to come.
