Few people know that, after Uncle Ho's death, his body was not left in Hanoi but kept in a secret location to avoid bombs and bullets. This area is called with the alias K9. The K9 relic site is located on Da Chong hill, Minh Quang commune, Ba Vi district, Hanoi, where Uncle Ho's body was kept from 1969 to 1975.

At Da Chong hill, in 1957, during a training session with the 316th Division on the Da River, Uncle Ho stopped for lunch on the top of the hill, right at the foot of three majestic rocks. Looking at the cool climate, terrain and scenery, Uncle Ho chose this place as the base of the government to prevent war from expanding to the whole country. In 1960, the General Department of Logistics built a house on stilts to serve as a meeting place for Uncle Ho and the Politburo. Around the house is a system of fortifications and shelters, this area is called K9 construction site.

During the years of fighting the US, Uncle Ho and his comrades in the Politburo worked and rested here many times. On September 2, 1969, the day Uncle Ho went away, the government chose K9 as the place to invest in technical equipment to preserve Uncle Ho's body. On December 15, 1969, equipment to preserve Uncle Ho's body was completed 10 days ahead of schedule. For secrecy, the name K9 was changed to K84. At 23 o'clock on December 23, 1969, Uncle was transferred from K75A to K84 safely, absolutely ensuring bright technology.

Basically, from 1969 to 1975, Uncle Ho's body was kept at Da Chong Hill (only for a short time in K2). At 4:00 p.m. on July 18, 1975, at K9, a special bus carrying Uncle Ho's body was ordered to depart for Hanoi. At 8 pm on July 18, 1975, the convoy arrived at Ba Dinh Square. Carefully and solemnly put Uncle Ho's body into the mausoleum, where he rests forever. Currently, K9 has become a historical relic, Uncle Ho Mausoleum Command has arranged a reception department to welcome the delegation of cadres and people nationwide to visit K9. Here, tourists burn incense for Uncle Ho, visit Uncle Ho's conservation area, which is preserving the original current such as greenhouses, tunnels and technical works. On the left side of the hill is the Da River, where visitors can take pictures with the beautiful natural landscape.

After visiting K9, visitors can visit Suoi Hai lake, this is an irrigation project, honored to welcome Uncle Ho to visit on April 15, 1964. Visiting Suoi Hai lake, Uncle said: "A lot of water. have built places like this for economic purposes, built a small airport, raised cattle, planted flowers... This area will become a place of relaxation, tourism, bringing economic efficiency ". Following Uncle Ho's words, Suoi Hai area has become an interesting and attractive eco-tourism area, with boats to visit the island, in addition to hotels and motels to serve visitors. In 2010, Hanoi People's Committee approved the project "Tan Vien luxury resort". In the future, Suoi Hai lake will be an ideal destination for tourists.

Along with Ba Vi National Park, Suoi Hai Lake, Khoang Xanh tourist area, K9 today has become an attraction for those who want to learn the history and process of protecting and preserving Uncle Ho's body during the colonial period. war.
