Hacı Bayram Veli Mosque is a mosque in the capital city of Ankara. Along with Kocatepe Mosque, it is one of the most famous mosques in Turkey. Hacı Bayram Mosque was built during the Ottoman Empire, it is named after the Turkish Sufi and also poet - Hacı Bayram-ı Veli.

Built in the 15th century, Haci Bayram Mosque is dedicated to Turkish Sufi and poet Hacı Bayram-ı Veli, and is considered one of the most historically significant mosques in Ankara, if not all of Turkey. It is also one of the most visited places.

Make sure you can locate the Arabic calligraphy on the walls and the painted engravings that make up the various unique features of this structure. Of course, the church is full of people who attend prayers and other religious reasons, but visitors can also visit this mosque at any time of the day.

The Haci Bayram Mosque is located in the Ulus part of Ankara next to the Temple of Augustus, first built in AD 831. The mosque that we see today represents the characteristics of the mosques of the late 17th and 18th centuries. It has a rectangular plan built from the beginning and sections. in the north and west are items added later.

On the southeastern wall of the church there is a tower of two galleries with a square plan, stone base and brick body. There is an inscription of the Word of God (Kelime-i Tevhid) in large Arabic calligraphy (sülüs) on the wall overhanging the south side of the compound.

The single interior space is covered with a large hexagonal asterisk carved wooden ceiling in the center of the ceiling and framed with six rows of floral borders. The same asterisk on a smaller scale can be seen in the center of the ceiling and in the western appendage of the women's place. The borders of the world inside the cathedral are decorated with beautiful patterns.

The lower windows of the mosque are rectangular and have an iron grid. On the outside they are surrounded by niches with pointed domes. The upper windows are pointed arched, have plaster lattice and stained glass and are surrounded by intricately carved botanical patterns.

For the interior, Kütahya bricks were chosen for the windows. Mihrab plaster is built by casting technique and in the form of stalactite cavities. Shards of the Koran are carved in five rows on the table top of Mihrab

Right next to the wall of the mosque is a mausoleum dating from 1429. It is a structure with a square plan, octagonal drum and covered lead dome. The front facade is paved with marble. This mausoleum has a sliding arch decorated with black and white marbles in a rectangular frame and inside there is an entrance arch decorated with colored stones interlocking in a zigzag pattern.
